Not denying their obvious attraction towards each other, they entered into a relationship. Yet both of them haunted by their past: her remorse and his vengeance. It endangers them both as it leads them either to being more broken or eventually saved.
Dance for me, transported me to a world of ballet, those
pirouettes and perhaps tutus. It my first book related to dance and I am not
disappointed. However, I am in awe and I have learned to appreciate the beauty
of ballet. I watched a video of Polina Semionova to get a grasp of the ballet
world.
The first part is a bit confusing for me regarding Natasha’s
situation but then as the story grows you understand more of the characters and
the idea.
Natasha is a broken person clearly because of her guilt and
her unusual habit, yet I somewhat find her strong maybe it’s due to her personality
of not giving up in life. Darell, I think, is a dashing guy yet a workaholic. Sometimes
I find his decisions as stupid and selfish though I don’t blame him much
because of his dreadful past. The supporting characters Clarissa and Neil are
funny and I enjoy their banters.
I also like the writing style and how the POVs are changed
and it got me to understand the dilemma and the feelings of the protagonists. The
flow of the story charmingly progresses and I am satisfied on how the story
ends.
The book is exquisite, interesting and a page-turner that I
read it only in a few hours. I also appreciate the author, Helena Newbury, for
a commendable debut novel. I can’t wait to read the sequel.
"He smiled. He didn't smile often, but when he did it was light-up-the-room fantastic."
P.S. I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
